Special Topics
Spring 2011:
The Septuaginta. (Greek Old Testament). Prereq.: 1 year of Greek
Fall 2010:
Selections from the Iliad and the Odyssey. Prereq.: 2 years of Greek
Other options include:
Homeric Hymns, Hesiod, Plato, Aristotle, Herodotus, Aristophanes, Euripides, Sophocles, Aeschylus, Menander, Lysias, and the New Testament. The New Testament requires one-year of Greek; the rest, two-years of Ancient Greek.
Students can complete the 3rd and 4th semesters of Ancient Attic Greek through the independent-study option. The preference is to sign up for these two as three-credit courses
Thereafter, continue the ancient Greek odyssey, also through independent-study with the variable credit-hour option, to suit individual interests and time constraints.
